Chapter 9: A Silent Threat

Jungkook barely slept that night.

The message replayed in his head over and over again.

Stay out of things that aren't your business.

His fingers curled into fists.

Because this wasn't just his business.

This was Taehyung and Jiho.

And Jungkook didn't take threats lightly.

By the time morning came, he had already checked the security footage, scanned the property, and tried to trace the sender of the message—but whoever they were, they had covered their tracks well.

Too well.

Which meant they weren't just some random stalker.

Jungkook exhaled sharply, rubbing his jaw.

His instincts screamed at him—something was coming.

And he would be ready.

Inside the Main House

Taehyung was in the kitchen, swaying slightly as he hummed to Jiho, who was giggling in his arms.

Jungkook stood in the doorway, watching.

Taehyung looked... soft.

His robe was loosely tied, exposing his smooth collarbones and the gentle curve of his chest. His long legs peeked out from beneath the fabric, and when he shifted, the robe slipped slightly, revealing more than it should.

Jungkook looked away quickly.

He was supposed to be focused.

Not... whatever this was.

"Morning, Jungkook," Taehyung greeted, smiling.

Jungkook gave a stiff nod, stepping forward. "We need to talk."

Taehyung blinked. "Oh." He glanced at Jiho, then back at Jungkook. "Serious talk?"

"Yes."

Taehyung's smile faded. He nodded, gently placing Jiho in his crib before turning back to Jungkook.

"What is it?"

Jungkook hesitated. He didn't want to scare him.

But he also wouldn't lie.

"I got a message last night," Jungkook said slowly. "A warning. Someone is watching you."

Taehyung's face paled. "What?"

Jungkook pulled out his phone, showing him the photo.

Taehyung's breath hitched.

"That's... that was two days ago." His hands trembled slightly. "Jungkook, I—who—"

"I don't know yet," Jungkook admitted. "But I'll find out."

Taehyung swallowed, his gaze flickering toward Jiho's crib.

Jungkook immediately noticed.

"They won't get near him," Jungkook said firmly.

Taehyung looked at him, eyes wide.

Jungkook held his gaze. "I promise."

Something flickered in Taehyung's expression—a trust that Jungkook wasn't sure he deserved.

But he would earn it.

Taehyung took a deep breath, nodding.

"Okay," he murmured. "I trust you, Jungkook."

Jungkook's chest tightened.

He didn't answer.

He didn't need to.

Because whoever was watching them—

Jungkook would find them.

And he would end them.
