Jungkook doubled security that day.
He wasn't taking any chances.
He spent the morning scanning the estate—checking the fences, reviewing the camera placements, and ensuring there were no blind spots. The entire time, his mind replayed the photo he had received.
Someone had gotten close enough to Taehyung to take that shot.
Which meant they weren't just watching from a distance.
They were near.
Too near.

Inside the House
Taehyung tried to go about his day as usual.
But he couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
Even as he played with Jiho, even as he fed him, bathed him, held him— there was an unease settling deep in his chest.
Because someone had been watching them.
And he didn't know who.
Or why.
He looked out the large windows of the living room, fingers tightening around the soft fabric of his robe. The estate was huge. Secluded. Safe.
At least, it was supposed to be.
Jiho let out a soft noise, breaking Taehyung from his thoughts.
He looked down at his baby boy, who was blinking up at him with wide, sleepy eyes.
Taehyung sighed, brushing a hand over Jiho's soft hair.
He didn't care if someone was watching him.
But Jiho...
He would never let anyone hurt Jiho.

That Night
Jungkook barely left his post.
He had checked every corner of the property. Twice.
But he still felt like he was missing something.
It was too quiet.
Too... calm.
And that's when he saw it.
A figure.
Near the east gate.
Jungkook's blood ran cold.
They were here.
In one swift movement, Jungkook grabbed his gun and moved.
He was silent, fast— years of training kicking in as he slipped through the shadows, footsteps making no sound against the pavement.
The figure was moving slowly. Careful. Trying not to be seen.
Jungkook's grip tightened around his gun.
Then, just as the figure reached the fence—
Jungkook struck.
Bang!
A warning shot hit the ground near the intruder's feet.
The figure froze.
Jungkook stepped forward, gun raised, voice cold.
"Move, and I shoot."
The figure turned slowly.
And then Jungkook saw their face.
A man.
Dressed in black, face partially covered, but—his eyes.
Jungkook knew those eyes.
His stomach twisted.
Because this wasn't just anyone.
This was someone from his past.
And that meant one thing.
This wasn't just about Taehyung.
It was about Jungkook, too.
